The CES MMA Welterweight Title is going to be defended in the main event of CES MMA 55 as Jeremiah Wells puts the gold on the line against Vinicius De Jesus.

Wells (6-1-1) is going to be making the first defense of the championship, which he won by defeating Jason Norwood by unanimous decision at CES MMA 52. Wells has previously challenged for the Cage Fury Fighting Championship Welterweight Title, losing to then champion Emmanuel Walo at CFFC 56. Wells has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter, with two coming by KO/TKO, two by submission and two via decision.

De Jesus (7-2-0) is making his CES MMA debut in this bout and does so while in the midst of a two fight winning streak. De Jesus has won three of four under the Bellator MMA banner, with those wins coming over the trio of James Boran, Tim Caron and Rodolfo Barcellos. De Jesus has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter and both came by way of decision.

Also on the card, it is going to be a clash of UFC veterans as Eric Spicely faces Caio Magalhaes in a middleweight division affair.

CES MMA 55 takes place on Friday, March 29 from the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut with Jeremiah Wells and Vinicius De Jesus headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
