Women’s Action Added To TUF 25 Finale

A women’s strawweight division clash has been added to the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale as Juliana Lima is taking on Amanda Ribas.

Lima (9-3-0) has won three of five fights in the UFC, with those three wins coming over Nina Ansaroff, Ericka Almeida and JJ Aldrich. Lima’s only two defeats in the UFC came to Carla Esparza and Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who are the only two women to hold the UFC Women’s Strawweight Title. Lima also competed once in the Invicta Fighting Championships, dropping a fight to Katja Kankaanpaa at Invicta FC 5.

Ribas (6-1-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this fight and she is a longtime veteran of the Jungle Fight promotion. Ribas won two of three fights during her time in Jungle Fights, with those wins coming over the duo of Alline Sattlemayer and Tania Pereda. Ribas also won the IMMAF 2014 World Championships at strawweight, defeating Gabriella Ringblom by decision in the finals.

UFC Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale takes place on Friday, July 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Justin Gaethje and Michael Johnson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
