Women’s Bout Added To UFC 211

MMA

A women?s strawweight division fight is a late addition to the UFC 211 card as #13 Jessica Aguilar takes on Cortney Casey.

Aguilar (19-5-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping a fight to Claudia Gadelha by decision at UFC 190. It has been almost two years since the last time Aguilar has competed in the Octagon, as UFC 190 took place in August of 2015. Aguilar was also the first and only World Series Of Fighting Women?s Strawweight Champion, where she defeated Alida Gray to win the title and would defend it twice before heading to the UFC.

Casey (6-4-0) has won two of her last three under the UFC banner, defeating Cristina Stanciu and Randa Markos, while suffering a lone defeat to Claudia Gadelha. Casey will also be competing on her first ever UFC pay-per-view card, as her previous five fights in the promotion came at ?Fight Night? events. Casey also earned a total of six wins as an amateur, which includes a win over fellow UFC fighter Ashley Yoder.

UFC 211 takes place on Saturday, May 13 from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas with Stipe Miocic and Junior Dos Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event.
