World Series Of Fighting (WSOF) has battled a few legal matters over their five years of existence. You can add three more lawsuits have been filed against the MMA promotion.
The first of those legal matters is seeing Shawn Lampman, the brother of WSOF founder Shawn Lampman, file suit against WSOF for breach of contract. Lampman claims that the parent company of the WSOF was loaned $321,000 in July of 2012 for a 10% interest and 2% ownership stake in the company. The WSOF parent company, in response to the suit, has countersued Lampman for a declaratory judgment, claiming the promotion does not owe him money, that he is not an investor and he has no licensing rights.
The next lawsuit filed against the WSOF parent company comes from Arthur LaFond, who is claiming that he was to be paid $145,000 by the promotion for certain domain names that he had owned. LaFond also declared that he was hired to secure other domain names as well and was promised the position of ?Domain Manager? for the promotion. He also says he was to be paid $25,000 a year and $600 for monthly maintenance expenses by the company, plus he was to get a minor ownership stake in the company.
The final lawsuit filed against the parent company of the WSOF is from the girlfriend of the previously mentioned Shawn Lampman, who claims that she was subject to fraudulent inducement and emotional stress from the MMA organization. Aymet Roman-Perez (the girlfriend) also claims that the promotion reduced her ownership stake in the company a half of a percent from 2% to 1.5%.
