XFC Signs Deal With NBC Sports Network

The Xtreme Fighting Championship, once a promotion highlighting the best of Brazilian MMA, is returning stateside after being purchased by a group headed by CEO Steve Smith and President Myron Molotky.

Not only is the promotion returning to North America, but does so with a deal with the NBC Sports Network to broadcast live events, starting on November 11 with XFC 43. All XFC events will fall under one of three categories, which are ?Young Guns? for up and coming talent, ?Tournament Series? for one night tournaments and ?Super Fights? featuring the best talent in the promotion facing each other.

Molotky stated in a press release obtained by MMA Junkie. ?The team at NBC Sports impressed us with their experience, their understanding of our vision, and their commitment to excellence. We are thrilled to join them as partners and to give our fighters an opportunity to shine in front of this powerful audience.?

A tryout event is being held on Saturday, September 12 and those selected from the tryout will compete on future XFC cards. There is no word yet on what kind of card or who will be fighting when the promotion debuts on NBC Sports Network on November 11.
