Nakamura Defeats Cena, Will Face Mahal For WWE Title At SummerSlam

Shinsuke Nakamura just beat John Cena in the middle of a WWE ring, and he did it as clean as a whistling sheet.

Now Nakamura will face Jinder Mahal for the WWE Title at Summerslam in Brooklyn on August 20.

The Elite: We're Getting AEW Back To What It Was Supposed To Be

After a great back and forth that saw Nakamura kick out of an AA, Cena hit a second, and Nakamura reverse a third one into his reverse exploder suplex, Nakamura hit his Kinshasa knee and got the 1-2-3.

The finishing sequence was not without its dramatics, however, as Cena landed badly on the reverse exploder, and the ref checked on him before the final blow was dealt.

Cena appeared to be all right after the match, but that didn't stop Nakamura from telling him "I'm Sorry" before Cena raised his hand in celebration.

Aft the very end of the show, Corbin attacked Nakamura, and Cena came to the rescue.
