Smackdown's newest and hottest tag team sat down for an interview with Michael Cole. The team which debuted after the brand split WWE draft spoke about coming together as a team, finding out about their debut on the main roster and their plans for the Smackdown tag team title.
Cole started the interview by asking Chad Gable about his experience on the United States Olympic freestyle wrestling team. Gable contrasted the atmospheres between the Olympic stage and wrestling in arenas for WWE. He said he "feeds off the crowd" in WWE while during his amateur days he would purposely ignore the crowd.
Cole then shifted focus to Jason Jordan, whom Cole said he had been watching Jordan since "(Jordan) started here". Cole asked about the energy Jordan had found which Cole claimed "to never seen from (Jordan)." Jordan who spent five years in developmental referenced NXT Takeover: Respect and how he felt "pulling down (his) straps" and the energy the crowd gave them. American Alpha lost at NXT Takeover: Respect but six months later won the NXT tag team title.
Cole asked what made the team "click", Jason Jordan stated when teamed with Chad Gable, they had instant and "natural chemistry". Michael Cole asked how they expect to fair in Smackdown's tag team division and American Alpha told Cole in tandem they would be "Ready. Willing. and Gable". The team is in the middle of a tag team tournament for the Smackdown tag team championship. American Alpha may be the favorite to win it and become the first Smackdown tag team champions.
