New Directors Added To UFC Performance Institute

In a few short weeks, the UFC’s going to be opening up the UFC Performance Institute.

However, before the grand opening, the UFC has hired a director of strength & condition and a director of nutrition.

Bo Sandoval is going to be handling the strength & conditioning side of things, the new hire was recently the assistant director of strength & conditioning at the University Of Michigan. Sandoval has also worked at the United States Olympic Training Facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he also worked in the strength & conditioning program.

Clint Wattenberg is going to be handling the nutrition for the UFC Performance Institute, this new hire last worked various nutrition based jobs at Cornell University. Wattenberg was also an NCAA Division II wrestling champion and he competed on the US Men’s National Wrestling Team.

“We are excited to welcome Bo and Clint as the newest members of our UFC Performance Institute staff,” UFC COO Ike Lawrence Epstein said in a statement. “Bo and Clint are well-known and widely-respected experts in their individual fields and with two decades of collective professional experience, their additions to the team will be a tremendous benefit to our athletes.”

The UFC Performance Institute opens on May 22, it has been described as the world’s first MMA mufti-disciplinary research center, innovation and performance center.
