New Japan Pro Wrestling On AXS TV 11/12 BUSHI VS KUSHIDA, Hiroshi Tanahashi VS Kenny Omega

This is the Fightful.com recap for this week's episode of New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS TV! Tonight we have back to back new episodes that are set to be great shows as in our first episode we have Guns and Gallows trying to regain their tag titles from Tomoaki Honma and Togi Makabe then we have BUSHI defending his IWGP Jr.Heavyweight title against KUSHIDA! In our second episode we have an epic 30 minute match between Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kenny Omega for the IWGP Intercontinental title!

Guns & Gallows vs Tomoaki Honma & Togi Makabe IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship Match

GBH are in control early, but Honma misses the headbutt anyway. They all go to the outside and Karl takes Honma up to the ramp and Gallows comes up from behind and hit a backbreaker elbow drop on the ramp. Honma gets back in and Karl focuses on the left arm of Honma, tagging Gallows in and he does the same thing before tagging Karl back in, the two alternating tags and keeping Honma isolated. Karl hits a yakuza kick in the corner for three quick 2 counts, tagging Doc back in who tosses Honma outside then knocks Makabe off the apron, Karl running him into the railing. Doc drops a chair onto Honma's arm then Karl sends him into the railing again. Honma gets back in at the count of 19 then chops Doc repeatedly, Honma going for a tag, but Karl hits a big boot to Makabe to stop it. Honma hits a stalling suplex then tags in Makabe. Makabe drops Karl then tries to take down Doc, clotheslining Karl in one corner then Doc in the other, hitting Doc with ten fists in the corner, following it up with a clothesline for a quick 2 count that Karl breaks up, Honma sending him back to the outside. Karl takes out Honma on the outside and Doc drops Makabe as we go to commercial.

Karl and Honma get in as we come back, Honma hitting a forearm then a bulldog in the corner, following up with a headbutt then a blockbuster neckbreaker for a quick 2 count. They exchange forearms in the center of the ring then Honma drops Karl with a lariat, tagging Makabe in. Anderson and Gallows send Makabe to the outside then drops Honma with a series of double team moves for a close 2 count, Makabe breaking up the pin.Karl hits the Gun Stun on Honma for a very close 2 count then Doc hits a sitout powerbomb on Honma, Karl hitting Bloody Sunday for another very close 2 count. Makabe drops both Karl and Doc then hits a headbutt doomsday device into the King Kong Knee Drop then finally the Kokeshi off the top rope for the pin and the win.

Winner: Tomoaki Honma & Togi Makabe via pinfall

BUSHI vs KUSHIDA IWGP Jr.Heavyweight Championship Match

They start off pretty equal with a lot of grappling then with several flips and even dropkicking at the same time. BUSHI rakes KUSHIDA's eyes then KUSHIDA hits a series of dropkicks as Naito and EVIL come to ring side. BUSHI hits a missile dropkick then a hanging neckbreaker, EVIL putting a chair around KUSHIDA's neck then hitting it with another one. KUSHIDA gets back in at the count of 19 then BUSHI puts him in a neck crank into a DDT for a quick 2 count, following it up with an STF that BUSHI breaks up on his own. BUSHI chokes KUSHIDA with his shirt then EVIL attacks him on the apron, but KUSHIDA drops BUSHI with a clothesline. KUSHIDA kicks the arm of BUSHI repeatedly then hits a springboard elbow before diving over the top rope onto BUSHI on the outside. KUSHIDA misses a moonsault then BUSHI misses the codebreaker, KUSHIDA going for the Hover Board Lock, but KUSHIDA turns it into an armbar. KUSHIDA drops Naito on the apron then EVIL, going for a springboard off the top rope then BUSHI spits mist in the face of KUSHIDA, hitting a tope suicida to the outside before rolling him back into the ring. BUSHI hangs KUSHIDA on the top rope then hits a double stomp off the second rope for a quick 2 count as we go to commercial.

KUSHIDA drops BUSHI with a right hand then tries to unmask BUSHI, BUSHI not liking that as he hits KUSHIDA repeatedly with forearms then they exchange various strikes. KUSHIDA drops BUSHI with a kick then BUSHI hits a low blow, following up with red mist into a backslide for a very close 2 count. BUSHI hits a codebreaker then KUSHIDA hits one on him when he comes off the top rope. KUSHIDA goes for the Hover Board Lock and BUSHI is forced to tap.

Winner: KUSHIDA via submission with the Hover Board Lock

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Kenny Omega IWGP Intercontinental Championship Match

They lock up to start the match then alternate standing switches for a clean break. Tana puts on a side headlock that Kenny is quick to get out of then Tana drops him with a shoulder block, Yujiro distracting Tana then grabs him, but Kenny has Yujiro and Cody to leave ringside and that he has to do it on his own. They agree to make this truly one on one then Kenny teases the One Winged Angel early, but Tana stops him, following up with a series of strikes then a back drop, hitting his own version of Good Vibrations in the corner. Kenny tries to send Tana to the outside, but he uses the ropes to come back in, hitting a tombstone shoulder breaker that sends Tana to the outside as we go to commercial.

Kenny follows Tana to the outside and focuses on the injured right shoulder at ringside, whipping him into the railing then chokes him with a wire. Kenny goes over the railing then hits a brainbuster into the crowd, following up with springboard moonsault off the railing. Kenny hangs out in the ring, gets a drink of water then Tana gets back in at 19, Kenny immediately going after the injured arm again. Kenny puts on a submission to the Rings of Saturn then drives elbows into the shoulder of Tana, into a short arm scissor that Tana powers out of. Kenny puts on a choke into a chicken wing, Tana falling back and dropping Kenny to the mat. Tana drops Kenny repeatedly then Tana hits a dragon screw leg whip as we go to commercial.

Tana tries to go for a cloverleaf, but Kenny gets to the ropes before he can, Tana focusing on the left leg of Kenny. Kenny gets Tana down and focuses again on his injured right arm while elbowing him in the shoulder. Tana gets to the ropes then Kenny gets right back on it, hitting a Greenbay plunge into a moonsault for a close 2 count. Kenny goes for a gutwrench powerbomb, but Kenny's leg gives out, Tana sending him over the top rope and to the outside, Tana hitting a high fly flow to the outside. Tana hits a dragon screw when Kenny tries to get back into the ring, following up with an attempted submission, but Kenny counters, Kenny trying for an enzugiri, but Tana counters that then puts on a Texas Cloverleaf as The Young Bucks come out from under the ring and hit an Indie Taker, Kenny not even realizing what happened it seems as they disappear. Kenny hits a Styles Clash for a very close 2 count then the Bucks come out and put some cold spray on Kenny, going for the V-Shot, but Tana turns it into a dragon suplex as we go to commercial.

They exchange strikes in the center of the ring then Kenny hits a reverse frankensteiner then goes for the One Winged Angel, Tana hitting a reverse frankensteiner of his own, following up with a straightjacket German suplex for a very close 2 count. Kenny goes to hit Tana with a trash can and hits Red Shoes with it, the Bucks coming in and double teaming Tana. Micheal Elgin comes out and hits a double fall away slam to them, Tana dropping Kenny off the top rope. Elgin picks the Bucks up and takes them to the back, Kenny gong for a brainbuster, but it's countered into a neckbreaker then a slingblade for a very close 2 count. Tana hits a high fly flow that drops Kenny then goes for the frogsplash version, but Kenny rolls out of the way. Kenny hits the V-Shot twice for a very close 2 count, following up with a a third V-Shot into the One Winged Angel for the pin and the win.
