This week on New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS TV we have the semi-final and the final matches of the New Japan Cup as Tetsuya Naito faces off against Toru Yano and Hirooki Goto squares off against Michael Elgin!
Tetsuya Naito vs Toru Yano
Yano attacks Naito almost immediately then rolls Naito up for a very close 2 count. Yano hides in the ropes when Naito goes after him then Naito does his signature pose in the middle of the ring. Yano walks right over and removes the turnbuckle cover then Yano hits an inverted atomic drop, Naito's face sent into th exposed turnbuckle then Yano rolls him up twice for two very close 2 counts. Yano hits a low blow then goes for another roll up, but the referee is hurt. Naito hits a low blow on Yano for a roll up of his own and the pin and the win.

Hirooki Goto vs Michael Elgin
They lock up to start the match then Elgin just shoves him away, the two hitting standing switches then Goto unsuccessfully drops him, Elgin dropping him instead. Elgin hits a series of forearms then Goto kicks him, only for Elgin to hit a step up enzugiri that sends Goto to the outside. Elgin hits a bowling ball off the apron then they get back on the apron and exchange forearms until Elgin hits a big boot. Elgin gets up top and grabs Goto on the apron and hits a dead lift avalanche falcon arrow for a close 2 count. Elgin hits the turnbuckle bomb then goes for the Elgin bomb, but Goto counters with a headbutt then puts a sleeper on Elgin, however Elgin tosses him off. Goto then rolls Elgin up for the pin and the win.

Tetsuya Naito vs Hirooki Goto New Japan Cup Finals Match
Naito avoids the clinch repeatedly then Goto goes after him from behind, dropping him repeatedly then hits a snapmare into a rear chin lock, but Naito gets his foot on the ropes. Naito hits a series of then Goto hits just one to drop Naito. Goto runs the ropes, but BUSHI grabs his foot, Naito sending Goto to the outside and BUSHI attacks Goto on the outside, stomping on him and whipping him into the railing. BUSHI throws Goto back into the ring then puts him in the tree of woe, stomping on him then BUSHI chokes him with his sweatshirt. Naito hits a neckbreaker then hits a low dropkick for a quick 2 count. Naito puts a rear chin lock on Goto, but Goto powers out, Naito hitting him with a boot then Goto hits a lariat that turns Naito inside out. Goto hits Naito with forearms then turns Naito inside out with another lariat. Goto hits a spin kick then a back suplex for a close 2 count. Naito hits his leg sweep double feet in the corner then springs onto the ropes for a missile dropkick into a bridging German suplex for a close 2 count. Naito sets Goto up on the top rope, but slides out then Goto gets up on the top rope, the two exchanging forearms on the top rope then Goto hits a superplex off the top rope as we go to commercial.
Goto hits a lariat in the corner to Naito then an elbow drop off the top rope for a quick 2 count, following it up with an attempted Ushigaroshi, but Naito gets out then Goto jerks Naito's head back onto his knee before hitting an Ushigaroshi then goes for the Shouten Kai, but Naito counters into a tornado DDT. They exchange forearms then Naito hits a enzugiri into a flying forearm, Naito following up with a huricanrrna off the top rope for a very close 2 count. Naito hits a spinning heel kick then hits Gloria for another very close 2 count, following it up with an attempt at Destino, but Goto catches him and hits a modified Ushigaroshi instead. Goto sits Naito up on the top rope then hits an avalanche Ushigaroshi for a very close 2 count of his own. Goto goes for the Shouten Kai, but Naito counters, Goto hitting a headbutt then kicks Naito before hitting the Shouten Kai for a very close 2 count. EVIL appears, BUSHI distracts the referee then EVIL attacks Goto, but Goto hits an Ushigaroshi on EVIL then knocks BUSHI off the apron. Goto hits a lariat in the corner then goes for another Shouten Kai, but Naito reverses into a reverse DDT. They exchange forearms, but Naito drops Goto with a right hand, only for Goto to hit a headbutt then goes for a lariat, but Naito counters into a dragon suplex, Goto right back up then goes for another lariat, but Naito catches him and hits Destino for the pin and the win.
Winner: Tetsuya Naito via pinfall with Destino
-After the match Naito celebrates and is awarded the trophy, saying he'll challenge Okada for his title then they attack Goto, only for Okada to come out and help him. Okada offers him his hand and they shake, seemingly joining CHAOS. After Goto leaves Okada says he can understand why Naito is afraid of someone like him, but says he'll finish him off at Invasion Attack.
