New NXT Signee Set For EVOLVE Matches Later This Month

Drew Galloway might be headed back to WWE, but he is not through with EVOLVE yet.

On Monday afternoon, EVOLVE booker Gabe Sapolsky announced that Galloway, whose new contract with WWE'x NXT brand was announced Saturday, would have a pair of marquee matches during the upcoming EVOLVE doubleshot in New York City:

Galloway appeared on camera during NXT Takeover: Orlando on Saturday night, which ran head-to-head with the WWN Supershow. Galloway was scheduled for the WWN main event, a multi-man match to crown the first-ever WWN Champion, but got taken out at the beginning of the show by Fightful.com podcast host Matt Riddle. Riddle went on to win the title. Less than two hours after Riddle took out Galloway, essentially writing him out of the multi-man main event, Galloway was appearing on camera for WWE.

EVOLVE and WWE continue to have a working relationship, which led to this series of tweets by Sapolsky earlier on Monday:

Galloway, who went by Drew McIntyre during his first stint in WWE and was identified under the same moniker on Saturday, enjoyed reigns as Intercontinental and Tag Champion previously in WWE.
