SANADA vs Hiroyoshi Tenzan Block A Match

They lock up to start the match, then take turns trying to knock each other over before Tenzan drops SANADA. SANADA rolls out of the ring to regroup, Tenzan going oit after him but as soon as he does SANADA gets back in and knocks him off of the apron. SANADA then whips him into the railing repeatedly as we go to commercial.

SANADA hits a springboard dropkick, then a standing moonsault for a quick two count and a back suplex for another quick two count. Tenzan counters a skull end, but SANADA hits a cutter for a near fall, then kisses a moonsault. SANADA hits a bridging German suplex for another near fall, then a dragon suplex is reversed into a tombstone by Tenzan. Tenzan misses a moonsault, then SANADA dropkicks him, but he doesn't budge, Tenzan hitting him with Mongolian chops and headbutts. Kojima cheers Tenzan on from ringside, Tenzan hitting a clothesline for a quick two count, then Tenzan puts SANADA in his innovated Anaconda Vise, then an Anaconda Buster for a near fall. SANADA locks the Skull End in, but Tenzan gets to the ropes for the break, then SANADA hits a moonsault. SANADA then locks in another Skull End for the tap and the win.

Winner: SANADA via submission

Togi Makabe vs Tomohiro Ishii Block B Match

They chop each other repeatedly to start the match, then Ishii drops Makabe with a right hand. Ishii chops Togi in the throat repeatedly in the corner before he collapses, then Ishii mockingly kicks his head and slaps him. Togi comes back, dropping Ishii repeatedly and sending him out of the ring, but Ishii is right back in, Makabe turning him inside out with a lariat. They exchange forearms, then Ishii drops Makabe with a clothesline in the corner as we go to commercial.

Ishii sets Makabe on the top rope and hits an avalanche brainbuster for a near fall, then Ishii hits a German, then a dragon suplex into an enzuigiri. They exchange strikes, then Makabe drops Ishii repeatedly before hitting a last ride powerbomb for a near fall. Makabe drops ishii with a series of clotheslines until he collapses on his face, Makabe following up with a bridging German suplex for another near fall. Makabe hits a spider suplex, but misses a knee drop, then they run into each other with clotheslines and headbutts until Makabe falls to the mat. Ishii hits another clothesline and a sliding lariat, then finishes with a brainbuster for the pin and the win.

Winner: Tomohiro Ishii via pinfall

Hirooki Goto vs Naomichi Marufuji Block A Match

They lock up to start the match for a clean break, then Goto drops Maru before Maru hops over him several times, then hits a hip toss. Goto then clotheslines Maru over the top rope, then Maru whips him into the railing before hitting a facebuster on them before rolling him back into the ring for a quick two count. Maru immediately puts on a reverse chin lock, but Goto quickly gets his foot on the ropes. They then exchange chops before Goto falls to the mat, Maru following up with an octopus stretch before Goto gets to the ropes. They exchange more chops until Goto falls back into the corner, then Maru hits a running, jumping elbow. Goto counters a suplex and drops Maru with a kick to the chest, then hits him with a rolling heel kick into a suplex, finishing with a clothesline in the corner and a diving elbow drop for a near fall. Maru then hits a cartwheel dropkick that sends Goto out of the ring before diving over the top rope with a flying cross body as we go to commercial.

Maru chops Goto, then Goto whips him into the railing, but he catches himself and hits his signature coast to coast missile dropkick for a near fall. They then exchange strikes, Maru using chops and Goto forearms until Maru comes back with a flurry of slaps and kicks before Goto ducks a Ko-oh and hits a neckbreaker. Maru whips Goto into the corner, then hits a running bicycle knee and a superkick, going for another bicycle knee, but Goto headbutts him. They get back to their feet, then Goto hits an ushigaroshi for a near fall before Maru hits him with a series of kicks and a high knee for a near fall of his own. Maru goes for a Shiranui, but Goto counters into a sleeper, then hits the GTR for the pin and the win.

Episode 2 G1 Climax 2016 Part 4

Kazuchika Okada vs Hiroshi Tanahashi Block A Match

They lock up for a clean break that makes the crowd come to life to start the match, then Tana slaps Okada. Okada hits Tana with a series of forearms, then drops him with a shoulder block. Okada is all over Tana, then hits an elbow drop before Tana counters a RAINMAKER with an inside cradle for an early near fall. Tana rolls to the outside, but Okada is quick to put him back in, then hits a slingshot senton for a quick two count. Okada locks in a unique stretch that doubles as a pin attempt, then they exchange forearms before Tana catches the leg of Okada and dropkicks his knee. Tana starts focusing on the knee of Okada before he gets to the ropes for the break as we go to commercial.

Tana puts Okada in an Indian death lock, but he's quick to scoot to the ropes for the break, then Okada hits a high back body drop when Tana runs at him. Okada drops Tana repeatedly, then whips him into the corner and hits a jumping back elbow into a DDT and a diving European uppercut. Okada locks in Red Ink, but Tana won't tap and crawls to the ropes for the break. Tana comes back and drops Okada with a flying back elbow, then they exchange forearms before they counter each other repeatedly and Okada dropkicks Tana off of the top rope and to the floor. Okada whips Tana into the railing, then Tana catches Okada coming in, hitting a dragon screw leg whip on the right leg of Okada in the railing. Tana then hits a High Fly Flow off of the top rope and to the floor as we go to commercial.

Tana goes to pick up Okada to bring him back into the ring, but Okada tombstones him for his trouble onto the floor. Okada gets back into the ring at 18 and Tana at 19 before Okada goes for a coast to coast, but Tana counters with a series of dragon screws, then counters Heavy Rain in mid-air with a neckbreaker. Tana hits a bridging straitjacket German suplex for a near fall, then misses a High Fly Flow before Okada dropkicks him repeatedly. Tana hits a wrist lock sling blade, then they both collapse to the mat as we go to commercial.

They exchange forearms with Okada in the ring and Tana on the apron as JR and Josh mention that if it goes to a draw then Goto wins the block. Tana hits more dragon screws, then locks in a Texas cloverleaf, but Okada gets to the ropes at the last second before he taps. Okada misses a dropkick and Tana misses a sling blade, then hits a High Fly Flow to the back of Okada, but misses it when he rolls him over, Okada getting his knees up. Tana goes for a dragon suplex, but Okada counters and Tana counters Okada's tombstone with one of his own, then a neckbreaker before he goes for a High Fly Flow, but Okada dropkicks him in mid-air. Tana counters a RAINMAKER, then Okada hits a series of German suplexes before Okada hits a RAINMAKER, but Tana kicks out. Tana then hits a bridging dragon suplex for another near fall, but Okada gets his shoulder up, then Okada hits a modified tombstone for another near fall. They counter each others RAINMAKERs until Tana hits a sling blade, then hits a High Fly Flow cross body, then another one for a near fall, but the bell rings at the very last second.

Winner: Draw
