Match By Match Recap

David Finlay & Juice Robinson vs. Bullet Club (Tama Tonga & Yujiro Takahashi)

The match begins with Robinson catching Tonga with his patented jabs and a few hip tosses, Robinson then slams a dazed Tonga. Robinson looks for Pulp Friction and Takahashi interferes to allow Tonga to jump Robinson from behind, Tonga traps Robinson in the ropes while landing a few strikes. Takahashi tags in and he works over the previously injured leg of Robinson, Takahashi nailed the injured leg of Robinson with a splash. Tonga tags back in and he drops Robinson with an elbow strike, Tonga then misses a falling headbutt. Tonga recovers to nail Robinson with an avalanche in the corner, Robinson then hits a charging Tonga with a spine buster.

Finlay tags in and he immediately cleans house on the opposition, Finlay then catches Tonga with a middle rope European uppercut. Robinson and Finlay also attack Tonga with some double team moves, Robinson brawls outside of the ring with Tonga. Tonga returns to the ring and eats a spear from Finlay, Finlay then hits Takahashi with a uranage back breaker for a near fall. Takahashi recovers to hit Finaly with the stroke followed by Pimp Juice for the three count.

Winners: Bullet Club (Tama Tonga & Yujiro Takahashi)

Chaos (Jado & Toru Yano) vs. Los Ingobernables (Sanada & Bushi)

The match begins with a brawl breaking out between all the competitors in the match, Bushi and Sanada start double teaming Yano in the ring. Yano takes the shirts of Los Ingobernables and places it over their heads, Yano then low blows everybody and rolls up Bushi for the quick win.

Winners: Chaos (Jado & Toru Yano)

Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki & Taichi) vs. Los Ingobernables (Evil & Hiromu Takahashi)

The match begins with a brawl breaking out between everybody in the match, Takahashi takes Taichi out of the ring and throws him into the barricade. Suzuki battles Evil and smashes him face first into the table at ringside, Evil finds a rope and he chokes Suzuki with it. Taichi brings Takahashi into the crowd before throwing him into a bunch of chairs, Taichi also hits Takahashi with his microphone stand. Suzuki throws Evil into the ring and Suzuki nails Evil with a few more strikes, Evil recovers and nails Suzuki with a spinning clothesline and a suplex for a near fall. Suzuki throws Evil into the corner and drops him with a boot to the face, Suzuki then hits Evil with a penalty kick for a near fall.

Suzuki and Evil then get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Evil drops a charging Suzuki with a clothesline. Evil goes for the STO and Suzuki escapes to lock him in the sleeper hold, Suzuki looks for the Gotch style pile driver and Evil uses a back body drop to escape. Evil uses a referee to distract Suzuki before landing a super kick, Takahashi and Taichi get the tags from their respective partners. Takahashi drops Taichi before nailing him with a running drop kick, Takahashi misses a charge to the corner and Taichi nails him with a super kick for a near fall. Taichi misses a super kick and he throws the referee into Takahashi, El Desparado hits the ring to grab Takahashi. Taichi accidentally hits Desparado with the microphone stand, Taichi then hits Takahashi with a super kick.

The referee is still down and Takahashi nails Taichi with the microphone stand before rolling him up for the three count.

Winners: Los Ingobernables (Evil & Hiromu Takahashi)

Ryusuke Taguchi & Michael Elgin vs. Bullet Club (Kenny Omega & Chase Owens)

The match begins with Omega jumping Taguchi from behind so Bullet Club can work him over, Taguchi recovers and drops both members of Bullet Club with a double drop kick. Taguchi then starts attacking Owens with the hip attacks, Elgin also nails Owens with the hip attack as well. Taguchi tags back in and he misses a hip attack on Owens, Bullet Club then hit Taguchi with some double team moves. Omega tags in and he hits Taguchi with a top rope forearm smash, Omega then catches Taguchi with a slam followed by an elbow drop. Owens tags back in and he rakes the back of Taguchi, Owens follows that up by nailing Taguchi with an atomic drop to his knee. Owens misses a double stomp and then Taguchi drops him with a hip attack, Elgin gets the tag and he immediately catches Owens with a slingshot splash.

Omega hits the ring and Elgin drops him with a hurricarana, Elgin then hits Owens with a series of running clotheslines in the corner followed by a falcon arrow for a near fall. Elgin places Owens on the top rope and the Omega jumps Elgin from behind, Omega and Owens then hit Elgin with a double super kick. Bullet Club also catches Taguchi with a double atomic drop, Taguchi and Elgin recover to nail their opponents with hip attacks. Taguchi and Elgin also trip Omega so he falls on the crotch of Owens, Elgin nails Owens with the Elgin Bomb for the three count.

Winners: Ryusuke Taguchi & Michael Elgin

Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Chaos (Kazuchika Okada & Gedo)

The match begins with a brawl breaking out between everybody in the match, Kojima grabs Okada and brings him out of the ring before tossing him into the barricade. Tenzan works over Gedo in the ring and he nails him with a suplex, Okada hits the ring and he attacks Tenzan from behind. Okada and Gedo double team Tenzan for a near fall, Okada tags in and he catches Tenzan with a rope assisted swanton bomb. Okada decides to slow things down by holding Tenzan in a chin lock, Tenzan drops Okada and he is able to tag Kojima into the match. Kojima quickly cleans house on the opposing team, Kojima then catches Okada with his patented chops in the corner.

Kojima follows that up by nailing Okada with a leaping forearm strike in the corner, Okada fights back and Kojima drops him with a DDT. Kojima looks for the Koji Cutter and he winds up nailing Okada with a forearm strike, Okada gets back up and drops Kojima with a drop kick. Gedo tags in and he cracks Kojima with a few punches, Tenzan hits the ring to double team Gedo with Kojima. Gedo shoves Kojima into Tenzan before rolling Kojima up for a near fall, Kojima and Tenzan work together to hit Gedo with a 3D for a near fall. Kojima crushes Gedo with the lariat for a three count.

Winners: Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block A: Tomohiro Ishii vs. Yoshi-Hashi

The match begins with Yoshi-Hashi cracking Ishii with a forearm strike, Yoshi-Hashi and Ishii get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Ishii then drops Yoshi-Hashi with a series of shoulder tackles, Yoshi-Hashi and Ishii start exchanging chops in the middle of the ring. Ishii gets angry and he drops a charging Yoshi-Hashi with a shoulder block, Ishii picks up Yoshi-Hashi and drops him with a headbutt. Ishii traps Yoshi-Hashi in the corner before standing on his head, Ishii keeps Yoshi-Hashi trapped in the corner while assaulting him with chops. Yoshi-Hashi fights back and he drops Ishii with a rolling neck breaker, Yoshi-Hashi follows that up by nailing Ishii with a running chop.

Yoshi-Hashi then places Ishii on the top rope before catching him with a drop kick, Yoshi-Hashi follows that up by kicking Ishii in the head a bunch of times. Yoshi-Hashi gets Ishii trapped in the corner before assaulting him with a plethora of strikes, Ishii gets angry and he attacks Yoshi-Hashi with a bunch of his own chops, Yoshi-Hashi then kicks a swinging Ishii before nailing him with a F-% for a near fall. Ishii recovers and he crushes Yoshi-Hashi with a back body drop, Ishii places Yoshi-Hashi on the top rope and he catches him with a superplex for a near fall. Yoshi-Hashi tries fighting back and Ishii drops him with a release German suplex, Yoshi-Hashi nails Ishii with a spin kick before dropping him with a lariat.

Yoshi-Hashi follows that up by nailing Ishii with a swanton bomb for the three count, Yoshi-Hashi immediately locks Ishii in the butterfly lock. Ishii eventually makes it to the ropes to break the submission attempt, Yoshi-Hashi then nails Ishii with a lung blower. Yoshi-Hashi follows that up by catching Ishii with a running double knee strike for a near fall, Yoshi-Hashi goes for Kharma and Ishii counters with a DDT. Ishii then crushes Yoshi-Hashi with a power bomb for a near fall, Ishii looks for the sliding lariat and Yoshi-Hashi nails him with a clothesline for a near fall. Ishii eventually drops Yoshi-Hashi as they have another striking exchange, Ishii then hits Yoshi-Hashi with a sliding lariat for a near fall. Ishii follows that up by nailing Yoshi-Hashi with a brain buster for the three count.

Winner: Tomohiro Ishii

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block A: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Bad Luck Fale

The match begins with Sabre Jr catching Fale in a jumping guillotine choke, Sabre Jr transitions to a rear naked choke on Fale. Sabre Jr then drops for a knee bar and Fale gets to the ropes, Fale keeps Sabre Jr down and just stomps away on him. Fale drags Sabre Jr to the outside of the ring before tossing him into the barricade, Fale follows that up by throwing Sabre Jr into the ring post multiple times. Fale follows that up by just tossing Sabre Jr into the barricade again, Fale brings Sabre Jr back into the ring and simply stands on him. Fale picks up a downed Sabre Jr and he simply slams him, Fale then sits on Sabre Jr to get a near fall on a pin attempt.

Sabre Jr recovers and he nails the arm of Fale with a pele kick, Fale misses a butt drop and Sabre Jr nails him with a penalty kick. Sabre Jr waits for Fale to get up before nailing him with a running European uppercut, Fale then misses a charge to the corner and Sabre Jr locks him in the octopus stretch. Sabre Jr transitions to a sleeper hold on Sabre Jr and Fale traps him in the corner as he breaks free, Fale nails Sabre Jr with an avalanche followed by a splash for a near fall. Fale looks for the Bad Luck Fall and Sabre Jr escapes to lock him in a knee bar, Fale gets to the ropes to break the submission attempt.

Fale gets up and he immediately drops Sabre Jr to get a near fall, Sabre Jr recovers and he catches Fale in a triangle choke. Sabre Jr catches Fale in a roll up from out of nowhere to get a three count.

Winner: Zack Sabre Jr.

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block A: Togi Makabe vs. Kota Ibushi

The match begins with Makabe and Ibushi exchanging blows in the middle of the ring, Ibushi eventually knocks Makabe out of the ring before catching him with a dive. Ibushi then takes Makabe and he throws him into the barricade a few times, Makabe and Ibushi return to the ring before Makabe knocks Ibushi right back out of the ring. Ibushi returns to the ring again and Makabe slams him, Makabe catches Ibushi with a few strikes until Ibushi drops him with a drop kick. Ibushi then drops a charging Makabe with a kick before landing a standing moonsault, Ibushi follows that up by nailing Makabe with a springboard drop kick for a near fall.

Makabe knocks Ibushi in the corner before catching him with a running clothesline, Makabe then punches Ibushi in the corner multiple times before catching him with a northern lights suplex for a near fall. Ibushi tries fighting back and Makabe crushes him with a lariat for another near fall, Ibushi recovers and drops Makabe with an enzaguri. Makabe and Ibushi exchange running clotheslines in the corner, Ibushi catches Makabe with a spin kick to end the exchanges. Ibushi places Makabe on the top rope and he follows him up there, Ibushi catches Makabe with a double jump hurricarana for a near fall. Ibushi follows that up by attacking a downed Makabe with a series of kicks, Makabe recovers and he drops Ibushi with a lariat.

Makabe and Ibushi have yet another striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Ibushi eventually drops Makabe with a release German suplex. Ibushi and Makabe then battle on the top rope until Makabe knocks Ibushi down, Ibushi quickly recovers and he nails Makabe with a pele kick. Makabe recovers and he nails a standing Ibushi with a King Kong Knee Drop, Makabe follows that up by nailing Ibushi with a power bomb. Makabe then hits Ibushi with another King Kong Knee Drop for the three count.

Winner: Togi Makabe

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block A: Yuji Nagata vs. Tetsuya Naito

The match begins with Naito backing Nagata into the ropes before assaulting him with strikes, Naito taunts Nagata and Nagata attacks him from behind. Naito drops Nagata with a back elbow strike before nailing him with a drop kick, Naito drags Nagata out of the ring before tossing him into the barricade. Naito waits for Nagata to return to the ring before attacking him and applying the head scissors, Nagata eventually gets to the ropes and Naito releases the hold to hit him with a neck breaker. Naito then traps Nagata in the corner before attacking him with a series of strikes, Nagata recovers and he catches a running Naito with a knee lift.

Nagata waits for Naito to get up before attacking him with a bunch of kicks, Naito tries fighting back and Nagata drops him with another kick. Nagata traps Naito in the corner before catching him with a running boot to the face followed by an exploder suplex, Naito trips up Nagata in the corner before catching him with a slingshot drop kick. Naito then cracks Nagata with an enzaguri followed by a satellite DDT, Nagata tries fighting back and Naito attacks him with a plethora of stomps. Naito spits at Nagata and Nagata gets angry before just attacking Naito with a bunch of kicks to the back, Naito tries fighting back and Nagata nails him with another kick.

Naito goes down and Nagata mounts him before assaulting him with strikes, Nagata goes for the side suplex and Naito breaks free. Nagata then catches a leaping Naito with a release German suplex, Nagata drops naito again and he gets a near fall. Nagata picks up Naito and he attacks him with knee strikes, Naito recovers and nails Nagata with a German suplex. Nagata and Naito get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Naito then drops Nagata with a flying forearm strike. Nagata quickly recovers and locks a swinging Naito in the Nagata Lock, Nagata releases the submission after Naito gets to the ropes.

Nagata continues to focus his attack on the injured arm of Naito, Nagata goes for a spinning suplex and naito counters with a reverse DDT for a near fall. Naito follows up by nailing Nagata with Destino for the three count.

Winner: Tetsuya Naito

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block A: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Hirooki Goto

The match begins with Tanahashi backing Goto into the corner, Tanahashi backs away and Goto nails him with forearm strikes. Goto then knocks Tanahashi out of the ring with a shoulder tackle, Tanahashi tries returning to the ring and Goto keeps him from doing so. Tanahashi gets back in the ring and he drops Goto on the top rope, Tanahashi then decides to just stomp away on a downed Goto. Tanahashi slams Goto in the corner before going to the middle rope, Goto clotheslines Tanahashi off the ropes and onto the arena floor. Goto follows Tanahashi out of the ring and throws him into the barricade a few times, Goto tosses Tanahashi back into the ring and then hits him with a hip toss.

Goto also starts focusing his attack on the injured arm of Tanahashi, Goto starts wrenching away on the injured arm of Tanahashi. Tanahashi tries fighting back and Goto attacks his injured arm with European uppercuts, Goto then hits Tanahashi with a spin kick in the corner. Tanahashi recovers and cracks Goto with a dragon screw leg whip, Tanahashi follows that up by nailing Goto with a flying forearm strike. Tanahashi slams Goto before catching him with a middle rope swanton bomb for the near fall, Tanahashi and Goto have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Tanahashi backs Goto into the corner before nailing him with an avalanche, Goto gets angry and he drops Tanahashi with a side suplex.

Tanahashi and Goto get into yet another striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Goto goes for a hold and Tanahashi counters with a modified sling blade for a near fall. Tanahashi goes for the High Fly Flow and Goto gets out of the way, Goto gets up and he levels Tanahashi with a clothesline. Goto then drops Tanahashi with a kick to get a near fall, Goto picks up Tanahashi and he locks him in the sleeper hold. Goto releases the hold and he crushes Tanahashi with a modified neck breaker for a near fall, Goto then cracks Tanahashi with a headbutt followed by an inverted GTR. Goto goes for another GTR and Tanahashi counters with a spinning neck breaker, Goto gets angry and he drops Tanahashi with a series of strikes.

Tanahashi counters a Goto suplex with a pair of spinning neck breakers and a suplex of his own, Tanahashi follows that up by nailing Goto with a sling blade for a near fall. Tanahashi then hits Goto with a pair of High Fly Flows for the three count.
