October 21 HBO Boxing Card To Feature Demetrius Andrade, Corrales vs. Machado

HBO is ready to roll out another boxing card in late October with a world title fight and a former world champion's upcoming move up in weight.

ESPN reports that HBO will be having a "Boxing After Dark" card on October 21, headlined by the WBA super featherweight title fight between Jezreel Corrales and Alberto Machado. The card will also feature former junior middleweight world champion Demetrius Andrade's middleweight debut.

The card will take place at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York, a popular venue for HBO boxing cards in the state.

Corrales has held the WBA title for the past couple of years, last beating Robinson Castellanos and Takashi Uchiyama twice in his past three fights. Machado, the NABA champion, is the highest-ranked regional champion in the WBA's official super featherweight rankings. Machado earned this shot at Corrales by beating Carlos Morales this past August on a Golden Boy on ESPN card

Andrade will be facing WBC USNBC middleweight champion Alantez Fox on the HBO card. This would be Andrade's first fight at 160 pounds after a short stint as the WBO junior middleweight champion from 2013 to 2014 and as the WBA junior middleweight champion earlier this year. Andrade signed a three-fight deal with HBO and joins Daniel Jacobs as two of the network's top signings in the past couple of weeks.

Fox is fighting for the third time this year, last fighting back in July when he beat Euri Gonzalez via fifth-round TKO. Fox sports a 23-0-1 record as a pro and has won his last 16 fights.
