Paige made an appearance at the Jersey All Pro Wrestling anniversary event this past weekend.
According to PWInsider, Paige was introduced by ring announcer Larry Legend, who noted a special guest at ringside prior to the match between Sumie Sakai and Deonna Purrazzo. Paige was not referred to by name and walked out to ringside without music. After watching the match, she left and returned to the backstage area. Paige's fiancee, Alberto Del Rio, faced Sami Callihan in another match on the card.
Paige, who is still serving a 60-day suspension from WWE for a second violation of the wellness policy, also is still recuperating from a neck surgery she had last month.
It has been a tumultuous year for Paige, fraught with WWE putting her and Del Rio on different brands when the roster split took place this summer. Then both Del Rio and Paige were suspended in August for violating the wellness policy, with Del Rio asking for and receiving his release from WWE before his 30-day suspension returned. Not long after Paige's suspension ended, she was suspended again, leading to public comments by herself and members of her family before WWE issued its own statement on the circumstances of Paige's second wellness violation, as well as the medical care she was receiving for her neck injury.
Paige and Del Rio got engaged last month, when she proposed to him in the ring following his match at the WWC Aniversario event in Puerto Rico.
Paige's second WWE suspension will end in December, although it will be sometime next year before she can return to the ring.
