Paige Says The Rock Told Her When She'd Make Her WWE Debut, Shares How Her Movie Project Was Brought Up

You never know what you're doing in the WWE until someone tells you, usually at the last minute.

In Paige's case, it was The Rock who told her about her upcoming WWE debut. She was on Lilian Garcia's Chasing Glory podcast where she told the story.

"I remember being at WrestleMania the day before I debuted" she recalled. "I got told by Dwayne to come in and was talking to him. And he...spilled the beans to me saying 'You're going to debut tomorrow' and I was like 'what?'"

It's one thing for the Rock to come up to you and tell you when you're making your debut. But it's another thing to suddenly learn that Rock really liked a documentary on your family, and had even bigger news for her.

"And he was like 'I got some more news for you'" she said. "And I was like 'What more could you possibly tell me?'

The Rock told her that he wanted to make a motion picture based on Fighting With My Family, the documentary about Paige's family, all who are in the wrestling industry. What was originally supposed to be an independent feature film turned out to be a big release featuring the likes of Nick Frost and Vince Vaughn.

"He took that idea and turned it into this global phenomenon" she said "It blows my mind."

Fighting With My Family is scheduled for release on September 14, 2018.
