Peter Avalon Discusses Contract Status With AEW, More

An AEW original has his current arrangement coming due soon and is looking to secure a full-time contract.

Fightful spoke with AEW’s Peter Avalon, who confirmed that he’s currently on a per-appearance deal, backing up a Fightful Select report from earlier this year. However, he said that while he loves his work with All Elite Wrestling, he’s looking to land a full-time contract. He’s worked both NWA and New Japan Pro Wrestling of late.

In addition to his in ring work, Fightful spoke to him about his production work that he did for years with Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. He said that he’d be open to working in that capacity again, and spoke about helping put shows together on a shoestring budget.

We also talked about Avalon’s feud with Brandon Cutler. Avalon was very happy about how it came about and said that he wanted it to be organic, and it all developed on the fly.

Avalon told us that he actually had an opportunity with 205 Live in the past, and Adam Pearce had pushed for him to get a spot there. However, the opportunity overlapped with his AEW contract at the time, and he decided to go with the latter.
