WWE Earnings Call: Q1 FY21 Earnings Call 2021 And Notes

WWE reports their quarterly earnings for the Q1 2021!

- Vince McMahon says they have the best WWE management team in history. He doesn't think he's ever been as excited about their business as he is now.

- Nick Khan says they're excited to possibly license WWE Network to streaming platforms across the globe as they have with Peacock in the United States.

- Nick Khan says that Peacock was thrilled about the numbers that emerged from WWE WrestleMania.

- WWE will continue to work into the NFT market, says Nick Khan.

- WWE has sold an anime series to Crunchyroll.

- Stephanie McMahon officially announces "Then. Now. Forever." has evolved into "Then. Now. Forever. Together."

- WrestleMania was the most watched live event in Peacock history, says Stephanie McMahon.

- WrestleMania had 1.2 billion media impressions, according to WWE.

- WWE does not predict a return to live events until "the second half of 2021."

- Stephanie McMahon noted that Bad Bunny helped increase their hispanic audience by 31 percent.

- WWE and Peacock are happy with the launch of the WWE Network and are now discussing how to further monetize it, says Nick Khan.

- A caller asks if WWE is doing anything on the storyline front to reinvigorate the fanbase. Nick Khan says their numbers are "robust" and says people are watching a lot of ways. He says they know immediately from fans what is working and what isn't, and it will impact things.

- Peacock have asked WWE to not disclose some of the numbers associated. They say it's a good sign when they hear from their partners, and bad news when they don't hear from them. They heard from Peacock a lot throughout the weekend.

- A caller asks about NXT moving nights, and AEW is brought up. Nick Khan says "everything" is competition, from people sitting around texting all night. He says they're only worried about attracting eyeballs to themselves. NHL had nothing to do with the NXT move, Nick Khan says.

- A caller asks about what else WWE can monetize now with all the contracts they have. The existing content is licensed in the U.S through October 2025, but they have a lot of new and international content monetization options, says Nick Khan.
