Alberto El Patron is still suspended indefinitely from GFW Impact in connection with the Paige airport incident last month, but according to a new report in PWInsider, the suspension isn't expected to last much longer.
It's believed GFW will reinstate their Unified World Heavyweight Champion Alberto just in time for the live GFW Destination X special on Thursday, August 17th in Orlando. El Patron was originally suspended by GFW on July 12, and since then, he has been cleared by police as a suspect in the domestic violence incident.
However, GFW has kept Alberto suspended, commenting only sparingly on the situation over the past few weeks. El Patron missed the recent live events in the Northeast as a result of the suspension, but August 17, the date of Destination X, is the beginning of the first set of tapings for IMPACT on POP! since the incident.
