Last night on RAW, Bayley broke Nia Jax's undefeated streak to become the new #1 contender for Charlotte Flair's RAW Women's Championship. Bayley will get her title shot at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 29th in San Antonio, Texas.
Earlier in the night, Stephanie McMahon told Bayley that she doesn't believe she has what it takes to be the face of the Raw Women's Division.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that this is essentially a repeat of the WrestleMania XXX storyline with Daniel Bryan.
The current plan is for Bayley to win the RAW Women's Title, likely at WrestleMania 33. There has been no indication of what they have planned for the Royal Rumble but it is thought that Bayley is unlikely to win the championship on her first shot.
