Report: Former Tag Team Champs Returning To WWE TV Tomorrow, Source Denies

The "Power of Positivity" apparently is coming to Tuesdays, sooner rather than later.

The New Day reportedly will make their return to WWE programming on tomorrow night's episode of Smackdown, according to a report by PW Insider. It's worth noting that when Fightful reached out to their sources, this was denied. While they are scheduled to be at the venue, they won't appear on Smackdown Live.

The New Day -- Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods -- made the jump to Smackdown during the "Superstar Shake-Up" last month. They also continue to hold the WWE record for the longest tag title reign: 483 days. They defended those titles under the "Freebird rule."

The New Day have been held off WWE TV since the "Superstar Shake-Up", while Kingston recovered from surgery to repair an injured ankle. WWE wrote the injury into its storylines, with The Revival attacking and injuring Kingston's leg after making their successful debut on Raw. The Revival defeated Big E and Xavier Woods the next week on Raw, and The New Day have not appeared on WWE programming or had a match since.

They join a tag division that includes the current champions, The Usos, along with American Alpha, The Colons, Breezango and The Ascension.
