Report: Goldberg Offered "Real Big Money" To Wrestle

Before his return to the WWE, it was widely assumed that in order for the company to lure Bill Goldberg back inside the squared circle, they would have to make him an offer he couldn't refuse. According to The Wrestling Observer, that's exactly what has happened.

In its latest installment, Dave Meltzer provided a few more details about the former World Champion's return to the WWE.

Meltzer stated that Goldberg was given a "real big money deal" for his match at Survivor Series, and is open to doing more matches for that price. The report added that Goldberg will wrestle as often as Vince McMahon wants as long as the payout remains the same. There was no clarification as to whether the price is per appearance or per match.

Goldberg confirmed during Monday Night Raw that he will be in the Royal Rumble match next year inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. During his appearance on Monday night, Goldberg claimed to have one more title run in him, and that the Rumble was where it was going to start. He is the first official entrant into the Rumble which takes place on January 29, 2017.

There has been no more confirmed appearances for the 49-year-old Goldberg other than at the Rumble. Should more dates be announced, Fightful.com will be sure to provide an update.
