Report: Hulk Hogan Return Discussed By WWE Officials

Hulk Hogan might be coming back to WWE soon.

It is, of course, still not confirmed. But the Wrestling Observer has reported officials have talked about bringing him back in some capacity. However, like other discussions in the past, it has come down to the same thing -- making sure sponsors would be okay with bringing him back, and seeing if it would be worth potentially bringing in a media backlash if they were to let him return to television.

Hogan was ousted from the company in 2015 after it was revealed that there were a number of tapes coming from this sex tape lawsuit that had him saying overtly negative racial remarks. WWE quickly cut ties with him, though they have been a bit more friendly recently, showing him in older footage and occasionally dame dropping him, but they have yet to bring him back.

He ended up winning his suit against Gawker, who originally put up the sex tape that led to the videos, which put them out of business. He hasn't been seen much since then.

Hogan returned to WWE in 2014 after a long stint with Impact Wrestling. He wasn't a part of any major storylines, but had been used in interview pieces, special segments, and other WWE related matters.
