Peterson is a longtime veteran of the Legacy Fighting Championship and Legacy Fighting Alliance, earning notable wins over Matt Hobar, Caio Machado, Ryan Hollis and Dustin Winter. Peterson had challenged for the LFA Bantamweight Title, losing to Bellator MMA fighter Leandro Higo at LFA 1.
