Ring Of Honor began the countdown to one of its biggest events of the year, Final Battle, with TV tapings held Friday night in Philadelphia.
The main event of Final Battle wasn't confirmed but, certainly, ground was laid for it to become official, as Dalton Castle and Cody had an extended confrontation following up from their segment at ROH Global Wars Chicago. Later on in the taping, it should be noted that, according to reports, Castle wrestled his match without The Boys present or his peacock robe.
Two matches for Final Battle were made official, as Silas Young, Shane Taylor and Punishment Martinez all qualified for a Four Corner Survival match for the ROH TV Title, presently held by Kenny King. The other Final Battle match confirmed will pit Jay Lethal against Marty Scurll.
The tapings also saw the Briscoes turn heel, attacking Bully Ray, who was in the midst of another apparent retirement speech, and Tommy Dreamer.

Punishment Martinez def. Josh Woods to qualify for a Four Corner Survival TV Title Match at Final Battle.
