Roman Reigns: SummerSlam Main Event Felt Like Playing A Full Football Game

Competing in a match against Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar at the same time is akin to playing a full football game, according to Roman Reigns.

Reigns appeared on SportsCenter to talk about the main event of SummerSlam, where Reigns, Joe and Strowman lost to Lesnar in a massive fatal four-way for the Universal Championship.

The Elite: We're Getting AEW Back To What It Was Supposed To Be

"I'm beat up. I feel like I've been in a car wreck. That was a big heavyweight bout and I sit at about 275 pounds, sometimes 280, and I was the smallest guy in the match. It felt like I was running into a wall every time," Reigns said.

Reigns then compared being in the match to playing a full football game. It's a comparison Reigns does have authority on making since he was a starter for Georgia Tech's football team and even was a first team All-ACC selection in 2006.

"To be honest, it felt like I played a full game. That's the one thing when I played at Georgia Tech, we didn't always have the depth at D-line, so I had to play 60, 70 snaps. You get to a certain point and you're exhausted and you get full body cramps and that's the type of physicality that I felt [at SummerSlam]. If you look at the size of the guys we have, it's pretty much like running into a Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman. Although I wasn't able to pick up the win, it's always impressive to be a part of SummerSlam here in Brooklyn," Reigns said.
