Sage Northcutt has been tearing a path through the MMA world, earning three wins in five fights under the UFC banner.
Now the fighter's younger sister in Colbey Northcutt will be making her professional MMA debut this June at a Legacy Fighting Alliance event, an opponent has yet to be named.
In an interview with Legacy Fights in 2013, the female Northcutt said she wanted to win gold in the UFC one day.
“That is my goal,” she said. “To fight in the UFC and be a UFC champ, that was my dream long before women were in the UFC. Hopefully that will happen in the next couple years.”
Colbey won four of five fights as an amateur fighter, defeating the foursome of Jessica Martinez, Ashley Cannon, Brandi Cobos and Amy Coleman. The amateur sensation hasn’t competed in almost three years, as her last amateur fight took place in July of 2014.
Outside of the MMA world, the sister of Sage Northcutt has held over a dozen karate titles in point fighting and continuous fighting. Colbey was also named Black Belt Magazine’s “Competitor Of The Year” in 2009, the fighter also has a purple belt in jiu-jitsu, a third degree in Tae Kwan Do and a fourth degree in Kajukenbo.
