Bellator 179 was headlined by a welterweight division main event that saw UFC veteran Rory MacDonald submit Paul Daley in the second round with a rear naked choke.

After the bout, the British star in Daley called out Michael “Venom” Page on the microphone and then would engage in a scuffle with the fighter in the crowd.

According to Bellator MMA President Scott Coker, the battle of the Brits may headline the promotions return to the UK.

"I think that that deserves to be here," Coker said at a post-event media scrum. "And maybe we won't wait so long to come back next time."

MVP was supposed to fight on the Bellator 179 card against Derek Anderson, but was forced to pull out of the fight due to injury.

Coker says that if the fans want to see the two fight, then they will get the fight.

"I think that's the fight people want to see," Coker said. "I think it's a fight that both those guys want to see. If they want to throw down, we'll put it together. If they both tell me that they want to do it, then we're going to do it."

The promotion doesn’t have a return date to come back to the UK, but one could be announced anytime.
