Settlement Reached With Leslie Smith In Lawsuit

MMA

It was revealed a few months ago that The Ballengee Group has filed a lawsuit against a pair of UFC fighters in Nate Diaz and Leslie Smith.

While the suit is still going against Diaz, the group has settled with Smith, although the detail of the settlement are not known at this time.

The suit began when Smith and Diaz were advised by a mutual lawyer in Sam Awad to not pay the group any management fees, as well as interfering in the groups dealings with the fighters.

The case is currently being tried in the state of Texas, but Diaz and Awad have filed a petition to have the case tried in the state of California, which is where they both reside.

Smith hasn’t competed in the UFC since defeating Amanda Lemos at UFC Fight Night Glasgow and she doesn’t have another fight scheduled at the moment. Diaz hasn’t competed since suffering a decision loss to UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor at UFC 202 and a third fight between the two has been rumored or quite some time now.
