Smackdown Viewership Sees Giant Drop

Smackdown continues to inch closer to Raw's viewership numbers, but it saw a big drop this week.

Tuesday night's episode of Smackdown drew 2.292 million viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily. This is a big-time, 14 percent drop from last week's 2.658 million. Last week's show had almost managed to land on par with Raw. Next week is a real possibility, as Raw goes up against Monday Night Football and a Presidential debate.

Smackdown was behind Loving You Is Wrong, The Kelly File, The O'Reilly Factor, The Five and Special Report with Bret Baier, and just narrowly beating Hannity. It's also quite likely they'll climb in these rankings when the election year passes. The show did manage to be number one across the 18-49 demographic.

This week's show featured John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose in the main event, which saw Ambrose pin Cena clean. The show also had an Intercontinental title match between champion The Miz, and longtime fellow-Cleveland rival Dolph Ziggler.
