Tanahashi's Injury Forces Withdrawal From Best Of Super Juniors Tour

As we previously reported, Hiroshi Tanahashi suffered a biceps injury on Sunday in Philadelphia at the final show of the Ring of Honor/New Japan War of the Worlds tour. There was no information at the time about the severity of the injury, or whether it would preclude Tanahashi from taking part in this week's Best of the Super Junior's tour in Japan.

Now, PWInsider is reporting that the injury has been diagnosed as a ruptured right biceps tendon, and as a result, Tanahashi has been forced to withdraw from the rest of the BOSJ tour, which continues through the weekend.

However, Tanahashi is still reportedly scheduled to wrestle at Dominion on June 9, where he is set to take on Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Title in the semi-main event. The main event of Dominion is going to be the rematch of Okada vs Kenny Omega.

Satoshi Kojima is set to replace Tanahashi for the rest of the current tour.
