The first ever Legacy Fighting Alliance Heavyweight Champion is going to be crowned at LFA 15 as Richard Odoms takes on Jared Vanderaa.
Odoms (12-3-0) is currently undefeated under the LFA banner, having defeated William Hoffmann by second round TKO at LFA 6. Odoms also fought twice in the World Series Of Fighting Global Championships promotion, defeating Yusuke Kawaguchi and suffering a defeat to Evgeny Erokhin. Odoms started off his professional MMA career with a seven fight undefeated streak, which included a win over UFC veteran Darrill Schoonover.
Vanderaa (5-0-0) is going to be making his LFA debut in this fight and only one of his five professional MMA fights went past the opening round. Vanderaa also competed three times in the Smash Global promotion, where he earned victories over Daylin Murray, Joe Hernandez and Sean Johnson. Vanderaa hasn’t competed in just about a year, as his last bout over the aforementioned Sean Johnson came at Smash Global 4 in September of 2016.
Legacy Fighting Alliance 15 takes place on Friday, June 30 from the Firelake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma with Richard Odoms and James Vanderaa. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on AXS TV.
