Report: TNA No Longer Seeking Out Alberto Del Rio

Impact Wrestling is seeing a major turnover in roster, with several big stars leaving. It appears that they've missed out on another big target, as well.

According to PWInsider, there is no longer a big push within Impact to bring in former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio. John Gaburick had been in a prominent creative role previously, but since being moved out of the spot, the Del Rio partnership looks to be off the table.

The website reports that Del Rio was set to appear at a recent set of Impact tapings, but then there was a decision made to push back his debut to this week's tapings. PWInsider mentions that it looks as if Del Rio won't be coming in at all nwo.

TNA and Del Rio have had discussions since he left the WWE last fall. Del Rio worked for both Ring of Honor and Lucha Underground following his first WWE release in 2014.
