Tony Ferguson Wants Nate Diaz To Try Tennis

MMA

Tony Ferguson was going to fight Nate Diaz in a few months at UFC 213, but then Diaz pulled out of the fight and has since refused to do “Conor’s dirty work.”

If Nate doesn’t want to fight him, then the lightweight contender feels that he should try a different sport, such as tennis.

“These (expletive) want to fight one time and then go retire,” he said to Submission Radio. “I get it. You’re a (expletive). It’s cool, you don’t like to fight. Alright. You’re in the wrong sport. Go try tennis. This is a man’s sport. I like to fight. Give me somebody that wants to have their ass beat. I thought this was the UFC, and we’re supposed to be the best and the toughest fighters in the world. You say, ‘Don’t be scared, homie.’ It’s all fake for them. And I understand it. You want to build your following. That’s cool. I say, you ain’t (expletive) without your homeboys, because one-on-one with me and Nate, or me and Khabib, or myself and McGregor, you know how the outcome’s going to go.”

Ferguson hasn’t fought himself since earning a decision over former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC Fight Night 98.

The lightweight star also believes that Nate and a host of other fighters are simply non-winners.

“Point proven, Khabib, McGregor and Nate Diaz are a bunch of (expletive),” Ferguson said. “Well, let me say it this way: They’re a bunch of non-winners. I didn’t mean to say it that way. Let me try clean it up.”

This is not the first time that Ferguson has been having verbal wars with Nate, as the two have been going back and forth for quite some time now.
