A pair of top 15 featherweights will clash inside the Octagon at UFC On Fox 25 as #10 Dennis Bermudez faces #12 Darren Elkins.
Bermudez (16-6-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over Rony Jason and Tatsuya Kawajiri. Bermudez made it to the finals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 14, but lost in the finals of the reality show to Diego Brandao. Bermudez is going to be competing on his fourth straight “Fight Night” card, which is the longest such streak in his MMA career.
Elkins (22-5-0) is entering the fight on a four fight winning streak, those wins came over Robert Whiteford, Chas Skelly, Godofredo Pepey and Mirsad Bektic. It has been almost three years since Elkins suffered his last defeat in the UFC, which came to Hacran Dias at UFC Fight Night 58. Elkins has a record of 1-2-0 at “UFC On Fox” events, with those two defeats coming to Jeremy Stephens and Chad Mendes.
UFC On Fox 25 takes place on Saturday, July 22 from the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York with Chris Weidman and Kelvin Gastelum headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
