Triple H Reiterates That WWE Is Still Interested In Signing Ronda Rousey

It is no secret that WWE and former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champ Ronda Rousey have been flirting back and forth.

Ronda showed up to the Mae Young Classic tapings with Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke to cheer on the trio's fourth Horsewoman Shayna Baszler back on July 13. They ran an angle at ringside with the MMA and WWE versions of the Horsewomen jaw jacking back and forth that seemed to point directly toward a future 8 Woman Tag match.

Fightful broke the news in early August that Ronda Rousey had started professional wrestling training with Duke under the tutelage of WWE Cruiserweight elder statesman Brian Kendrick.

Later that month, Triple H said that if Ronda is serious about switching from MMA to pro graps, he'd be willing to give her a shot.

Similar quotes popped up throughout September, and then just yesterday Stephanie McMahon said that the offer still stands and WWE would love to welcome Rousey to their ranks.

So it should come as no surprise when Triple H tells Sky Sports that he thinks WWE and Ronda are "a perfect match-up" and he's still "happy to give her the opportunity."

“Ronda has made no secret her whole career that she has been a huge fan of WWE growing up. She has been on record saying WWE is probably some of the most fun that she has ever had in her entire career. I have been out there publicly saying that if she wants the opportunity I am happy to give it to her. She is looking for the opportunity so it seems like a perfect match-up. I am excited to have the conversation with her and see where it goes.”

Perhaps we've finally settled the issue and reporters can stop asking Trips and Steph whether the WWE would be interested in signing Ronda Rousey.

They're interested.
