A welterweight division attraction is going to be headlining the Titan Fighting Championships 45 card as UFC Ultimate Fighter alumni Valdir Araujo faces Adriano Capitulino.
Araujo (17-7-0) is currently undefeated under the Titan FC banner, having defeated Preston Parsons by second round submission at Titan FC 43. Araujo was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 21, but never got to compete in the promotion after the reality show ended. Araujo also competed twice in Bellator MMA, defeating Ailton Barbosa and suffering a defeat to Brett Cooper.
Capitulino (5-1-0-1NC) is also undefeated thus far in Titan FC competition, with his win coming over Taylor Krahl at Titan FC 42. Capitulino also competed in the Jungle Fight promotion, earning victories over the trio of Cristiano Pontes, Kelles Albuquerque and Alberto Silva. Capitulino has only seen one of his seven professional MMA fights go the distance and that bout came over two years ago at a Face To Face MMA event.
Titan Fighting Championships 45 takes place on Friday, August 18 from the Pembroke Pines City Center in Pembroke Pines, Florida with Valdir Araujo and Adriano Capitulino headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
