Two Fights Added To Invicta FC 23

Next month’s Invicta FC 32 card continues to grow with two new additions as Ediane Gomes faces Pam Sorenson and Brooksie Bayard faces Shaianna Rincon.

Gomes (10-4-0) will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak and this will also be the first time she has competed in over two years. Gomes also hasn’t earned a victory in just over four years, with her last win coming over Hiroko Yamanaka at Invicta FC 4 in January 2013.

Sorenson (5-1-0) is currently undefeated under the Invicta FC banner, having defeated Jessica-Rose Clark at Invicta FC 20. Sorenson is also the King Of The Cage Women’s Bantamweight Champion, defeating Brenda Gonzalez to win the gold in 2016.

Bayard (1-1-0) is making her Invicta FC debut in this fight and she will be fighting for the first time in over two years. Bayard is also the only person to defeat Colbey Northcutt in their time as amateur fighters, Colbey is the sister of UFC fighter sage Northcutt.

Rincon (0-0-0) will not only be making her Invicta FC debut in this fight, but is going to be making her professional MMA debut as well. Rinson did go undefeated during her time as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Brooke Mayo and Michelle Gama.

Invicta FC 23 takes place on Saturday, May 20 from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri with Vanessa Porto and Agnieszka Niedzwiedz headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event.
