The Bellator 178 preliminary card has gotten two new additions as Tyrell Fortune faces Branko Busick and Ed Ruth faces Aaron Goodwine.

Fortune (2-0-0) has spent his entire professional MMA career in Bellator MMA, where he defeated both Cody Miskell and Will Johnson. Fortune has yet to have any of his bouts go to the judge’s scorecard and none of those fights have gone past the second round.

Busick (0-0-0) will not only be making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight, but his professional MMA debut as well. Busick also has no amateur MMA to speak of, which means he has skipped the amateur circuit and will start off his career in the pro ranks.

Ruth (2-0-0) has also spent his entire professional MMA career in Bellator MMA, with his victories coming over Dustin Collins-Miles and Emanuele Palmobi. Ruth has yet to see any of his fights go past the opening round and his last fight took place on the Bellator 168 main card.

Goodwine (1-0-0) made his professional MMA debut at Battleground MMA in May 2016, where he defeated Dominic Stouder by first round TKO. Goodwine went winless during his one fight stint as an amateur fighter, dropping a fight to Justin Sumter at Premier FC 18.

Bellator 178 takes place on Friday, April 21 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Daniel Straus and Patricio Freire headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
