UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh Draws 800,000+ Viewers

This past weekend was UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh, which was headlined by former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold scoring a second round submission win over David Branch.

The event, which went head to head against the highly anticipated GGG/Alvarez fight, drew an average of 872,000 viewers.

Other fights on the main card saw Mike Perry defeat Alex Reyes, Anthony Smith defeat former Bellator MMA Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard, Gregor Gillespie defeat Jason Gonzalez, Kamaru Usman defeat Sergio Moraes and Justin Ledet defeat Azunna Anyanwu.

It was the main event fight that drew the highest rating overall, with a total of 1,118,000 viewers checking out the headlining fight.

Besides the aforementioned GGG/Alvarez fight, the UFC event also went head to head with a pair of big time NCAA Football games as well.

Olivier Aubin-Mercier defeated Tony Martin by decision in the featured preliminary card bout, while the preliminary card as a whole drew 653,000 viewers.

Also, the pre-fight show drew 224,000 viewers and the post-fight show drew 361,000 viewers, both aired on Fox Sports 1.

UFC Fight Night Japan is the next televised event for the UFC and that is airing live on FXX, the main event is going to pit Ovince St. Preux against the returning Yushin Okami.
