UFC Vet Justin Lawrence Set For Bellator 181

A featherweight division clash has been added to the upcoming Bellator 181 card as UFC veteran Justin Lawrence is in action against Treston Thomison.

Lawrence (9-4-0) has won two of four fights under the Bellator MMA banner, with those two wins coming over Sean Wilson and Isao Kobayashi. Lawrence also won just one fight during his three fight run with the UFC, coming over John Cofer at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale. LaWrence is also a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Featherweight Champion. The fighter gave up the belt when he signed with Bellator MMA.

Thomison (10-5-0) has already earned three victories in Bellator MMA, having defeated Aaron Roberson, Dawond Pickney and Stephen Banaszak. Thomison is also facing a UFC veteran for the first time in his professional MMA career, one that has lasted almost seven years now. Thomison is also a longtime veteran of the King Of The Cage promotion where he won six of his ten professional MMA fights.

Bellator 181 takes place on Friday, July 14 from the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Patricky Freire and Derek Campos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
