Chelsea Green Comments On Doing Interview With CBS About Hulk Hogan

Chelsea Green comments on her recent interview with CBS.

On Thursday, July 24, Hulk Hogan suddenly passed away the age of 71. As the day went along, tributes poured in for ‘The Hulkster’, with many wrestling stars taking interviews with various outlets.

One of those stars was Chelsea Green, who appeared on a CBS News broadcast to chat about Hogan and his legacy. Fans weren’t happy with Green’s decisions, as many took issue with her lack of comment about Hogan’s racist comments and political views.

On Friday, Green took to social media in an attempt to clear things up, saying that she does not condone racism and noting that she tried to acknowledge Hogan’s death in a respectful manner despite his complicated legacy.

A significant part of my role at @WWE involves engaging w the public & responding to questions, often on live platforms. Yesterday, I was asked to comment on Hulk Hogan on live tv. Let me be clear: my stance on racism is unwavering. I do not condone it—period. If my response (or tweet) seemed dismissive of real concerns, I sincerely apologize. That was never my intention. I tried to acknowledge a death respectfully, even when the legacy is complicated. I am learning one day at a time and will continue to learn. ILY my PatriHOTS, President Chelsea
