John Cena Pays Tribute To Hiroshi Tanahashi

From Brock Lesnar Guy to Matt Cardona to Hiroshi Tanahashi, John Cena has had quite the variety to his recent Instagram posts.

The legendary 17-time WWE Champion recently acknowledged Tanahashi’s retirement at Wrestle Kingdom 20. While he didn’t give a heartfelt speech like Kenny Omega, his picture of The Ace spoke a thousand words.

Pro wrestling lost not one but two all-time performers as John Cena and Hiroshi Tanahashi both retired in a one-month span. Both suffered defeat on their way out, though Tanahashi was pinned by Kazuchika Okada, unlike Cena who tapped out to Gunther.

John Cena made sure his 21.8 million followers were well aware of Tanahashi’s legacy. Not every WWE fan may know just how much of an impact he’s had on the Japanese wrestling scene, but Cena is hoping to help spread the word as yet another Hall of Famer has seen their career come to an end.
