Pat McAfee: Wrestling Fans Can Sleep Soundly Understanding I Will Never Be Back

After serving as a commentator and sometimes wrestler, Pat McAfee was inserted into the WrestleMania 41 story between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.
Fans were not pleased as McAfee criticized the product, the wrestlers, and the fans while trying to put over Orton. Ahead of WrestleMania, McAfee stated that if Orton did not defeat Rhodes, he would leave the business.
Orton did not defeat Rhodes.
On his Instagram stories, McAfee was asked if a return to WWE is in the cards.
“If Randy had won, maybe, but I made a promise that I would never, ever. I would never be seen on WWE television ever again. Cody Rhodes won. He is the one. Wow, what a donkey he turned out to be. Maybe I was wrong with what I was saying. But no, wrestling fans can sleep soundly understanding that I will never be back over there,” he stated.
Pat McAfee might not be back in WWE, but he will be back on Monday nights, joining the Monday Night Countdown team for the upcoming NFL season. Fans can learn more here.
