Paul Heyman Reacts To Christian Watson’s Ambulance Return, ‘We Did This In 1991’
Christian Watson made a WWE-like return during Thursday Night Football, leaving the stadium but returning in an ambulance and exiting out the side door.
Watson was diagnosed with a broken rib, but was cleared to return with extra padding.
Paul Heyman issued the following comment:
We did this with @Sting in 1991 in WCW (vs Ravishing Rick Rude), and the industry has repeated it with great success in numerous circumstances.

Sting would have had to forfeit the United States title if he couldn’t compete against Rick Rude at WCW Clash of Champions 17. He appeared in an ambulance and faced Rude, but lost the match.
Watson finished with eight catches for 113 yards.
