TKO President Mark Shapiro Says WWE Elimination Chamber Viewership ‘Significantly Increased’ From WWE Wrestlepalooza

The WWE-ESPN partnership kicked off with WWE Wrestlepalooza in September, along with the debut of the new ESPN Unlimited app.
ESPN Unlimited has had some challenges, as it hasn’t always been available to those who have TV subscriptions with YouTube TV, Comcast, Dish Network, and more.
ESPN has not released viewership numbers for WWE PLEs, but TKO President Mark Shapiro says WWE Elimination Chamber viewership increased from Wrestlepalooza.
“We saw a significant increase in audience from the first event, which was Wrestlepalooza. They’re already making strides. Are they where Netflix was and where Peacock was? Not yet, but I’m super encouraged by the numbers Nick Khan was sending me by the hour this past weekend,” Shapiro said at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference.
Shapiro noted that the $29.99 price point and not being available through major platforms like YouTubeTV and Dish have been “prohibitive” and has affected the audience.
All main roster PLEs stream on ESPN Unlimited. Comcast Xfinity and ESPN reached a deal on February 26.
