ORIGINAL POST:

The WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament was a rousing success, and it looks like WWE is hoping to catch lightning in a bottle again--and this time, they've set their sights on Asia.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE has been contacting several talents in Asia about passport details and other information, similar to how preparations began for the UK Championship Tournament.

Talent is reportedly being told that if they sign, they will not be allowed any outside bookings within the US, the UK and Japan. This appears to be an attempt to avoid any confusion about which dates are allowed and which dates aren't. Several of the UK talents had to be pulled from bookings on short notice due to contract conflicts. The WON reports that the whole process is being accelerated because of the WhatCulture Pro Wrestling 2017 World Cup tournament, which plans to use 64 wrestlers from all over the world.
