Valerie Letourneau Injured & Off Bellator 181

Valerie Letourneau has suffered an undisclosed injury and has been pulled from this Friday Night’s Bellator 181 card, replacing him against Emily Ducote is going to be Jessica Middleton.

Ducote (5-2-0) has won three of four fights under the Bellator MMA banner, those victories came over Bruna Vargas, Kenya Miranada Da Silva and Katy Collins. Ducote is also a former Xtreme Fight League Women’s Flyweight Champion and a former OKC Fight Night Women’s Flyweight Champion. Ducote will be taking on the first UFC veteran in her seven fight professional MMA career, but this will mark her fifth fight in Bellator MMA.

Middleton (2-1-0) is looking to rebound from her first professional MMA defeat, which came to Ilima-Lei Macfarlane at Bellator 178. Middleton has spent her entire professional MMA career in Bellator MMA, earning a pair of wins over Bruna Ellen and Alice Yauger. Middleton also went undefeated during her time as an amateur MMA fighter.

Bellator 181 takes place on Friday, July 14 from the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Brandon Girtz and Derek Campos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
