Velvet Sky Hasn't Retired From Pro Wrestling

After 15 years in wrestling, Velvet Sky has announced her retirement. Or has she?

Sky spoke to WNPR, and stated that her pro wrestling career is over -- or at least the interviewer did. The 36-year old simply stated that her time had expired.

"Wrestling has a shelf life. College doesn't. You can be 50 years old and go to college for your degree. You can't be 50 years old and train to be a pro wrestler," Sky said.

Sky spent the majority of her career in and out of Impact Wrestling, but said that she wanted to get out while she was still physically healthy.

"I'm in really, really good physical condition, still, and my health is great. And I want to keep it that way. I had a really satisfying 15-year wrestling career, so I went back to school because I got to live out my wrestling dream," said Velvet.

Sky would later clear up her status.

Velvet was a two-time TNA Knockouts Champion, and a Knockouts tag team champion. She last appeared for TNA last March at a set of One Night Only tapings.
