In a match-up of up-and-coming middleweights, Jeison Rosario brought his undefeated record and his powerful reputation over from the Dominican Republic to make his U.S. debut against once-beaten Nathaniel Gallimore.
Rosario pressed the action early and was able to catch and stumble Gallimore in the opening round.
Gallimore was rocked and appeared to be on shaky legs, but he recovered to push Rosario into deeper waters than he'd been to previously in his 12-fight pro career.
Gallimore broke through for good in the sixth round, when he was able to put a tiring Rosario on the canvas three times, with the third signaling an end to the fight.
Rosario dropped to 12-1 (9 KO) in his fledgling pro career, while Gallimore improved to 18-1-1 (15 KO), to notch his most significant victory as a pro.
